Are the Scherer & PMI mags any good or should I just spend the bucks & buy Ruger?
PS: I prefer 20 rounders the 30s just seem too long!

Scherer (if you can find them) and PMI are both good brands. I have a couple of each and haven't had any problems with them.

Rumor has it that at one time PMI made some mags for Ruger. I have several PMI's and I will trust my life on them. It has been said that they are the best thing outside of factory mags.

I bet the farm on PMI and bought 10 of the, 20 round blues.

There must be 100 30rnd. mags out there for every 20rnd. Back when I thought more was better I bought 30's and regret it now. I prefer 20's to 30's in AR 15's and Mini's. I do think I'll try a couple 10rnd Pro Mags though.
