Today went and saw the movie "the host" with the wife. In a short section they had a older non ranch blued with wood mini 14 blasting away!

There are several scenes with it, and one where he modifies it a bit.

Check out the Internet Movie Firearms Database, like IMDB, but way more cool. It also lists video games in which certain firearms appear. When I was languishing on several waiting lists for my Mini, I bought Left4Dead 2 because you can shoot a scoped Mini in the game.
