Have the ruger mkIII stainless hunter long barrel version with the factory supplied scope mount and bought a cheapo vortex red dot. the dot is not crisp enough for me an i hate the long moint. looking at the FF3 and the separate mounting plate. trying to choose between the 3 moa or the 8moa. what is difference? mainly do indoor target shooting at 50 feet for competition and love to plink outdoor. appreciate any input on mount, dot crispness, 8 vs 3 moa.

I was in same boat and went with Green Triangle after much research. The 3 may be better for strictly target shooting but all around I like the 8. 8 is larger dot and easier to pick up.

I actually went with Trijicon RMR dual illum. thinking I hate dead batteries. I found one on e-bay at a good price.
