Sounds like the Ruger will be much more affordable than the FN.
That cartridge has some advantages.
Flat shooting.
Almost non existent recoil.
High Capacity.
Very High Velocity (for a pistol), with the resultant great penetration.
I had a Rock Island 1911 in .22 TCM for a while. Pretty similar cartridge. I had a lot of fun with it. Big 'ole fireball when you touch one off. It was a really heavy combo though, an all steel 1911 with a little hole in the barrel, so I traded it off.
Kind of like an overgrown .22 magnum, but with a muzzle velocity of 2100 fps. instead of the .22 magnum's 1500 fps.
