Is a stock 10/22 the best stock 22 rifle for 12yr old to shoot in rifle stock comptition? Thanks in advance.

Rugster, have you checked out www.odcmp.com/ for the price you can cut back the stock to fit a 12 year old. save the block and re-attach as he/she grows. De-gunking the gun is another problem though.

G'day Rugster, and et al.,

I purchased one of the new Henry Mini-bolts for my son when they first came out. It has been a very good shooter and is very well proportioned for youths. Very accurate! The fiber optic sights are a big plus!

Trigger group was a bit rough out of the box. Only modification was to apply a minimal amount of grease to the bearing surfaces to get them to move freely.

Note: this is only a single shot and you do have to articulate the striker for each shot. That spring is pretty stiff.
