Hi Cajungeo,
Regarding my AK74 muzzle brake, I'm 99.9% sure there is no bullet interference. I get 2-3" groups with winchester USA and the brake on, and the I.D. of the brake is smooth and consistant. I ran a dewey coated rod through with no contact.
One thing the tech at bushmaster did tell me is that the force on the muzzlebrake is a lot stronger than one would think. Every time the gun is shot is like hitting the brake with a hammer. I might be willing to give it one more try. The divets I drilled were very shallow. I might try to drill a little deeper. The worse that could happen is I have to buy a new sight sleave
