Hi Cajungeo,

Regarding my AK74 muzzle brake, I'm 99.9% sure there is no bullet interference. I get 2-3" groups with winchester USA and the brake on, and the I.D. of the brake is smooth and consistant. I ran a dewey coated rod through with no contact.

One thing the tech at bushmaster did tell me is that the force on the muzzlebrake is a lot stronger than one would think. Every time the gun is shot is like hitting the brake with a hammer. I might be willing to give it one more try. The divets I drilled were very shallow. I might try to drill a little deeper. The worse that could happen is I have to buy a new sight sleave :)

Hey bubba, If you like the brake I'd take it to a smithy, and he can silver solder it on for ya. Then you will never have to worry about it. As it is, its a potential Rocket launcher.

Hi Cajungeo,

Well it's already flew off the barrel once. It went about 30 feet and scared the living hell out of me. That's why I'm kind of hesitant to put it back on. I've thought about having it permanently attached. If I eventually want it off I can chop the barrel. I've been procrastinating because the nearest gunsmith is 60 miles away, and it's tough to get over there during business hours.
