I've heard that it changes the POI. I always thought the bullet left the barrel long before the slide slams into the rear. If so, does a recoil buffer actually affect accuracy?

Folks, thanks for the feedback. I've read other threads that indicated individuals who've installed recoil buffers had to re-zero their rifles, but I couldn't figure out the mechanism that would cause it.
