Yes. Somewhere I saw on the Ruger site that one need to contact ruger directly to get rings and I just assumed this applied to the ranch too. In any event, I called today and they are sending me a set - $60.00 plus shipping. I still haven't got the cap screw out of the old ring and now I have to so I can remount my scope. Guess I will just ruin one of the rings and have a spare. Expensive lesson, but then most are.

Do the millet rings fit the integral mounts on the Ranch?

Yes and very well. They are made for the Ruger ranch..Though this
should be over at the gallery, you can see em a bit here. If
you want I'll take a closer and clearer pic..However, I believe
you will be able to see them..Here's my pic and a link to
the rings...Of this first link you can get an idea of the hgt.
Mine are high-nickel and almost a perfect color match to the
stainless receiver. The scope has a bell that is close to 50mm on
the outside dia. The stock is Choate. I believe the upper handguard
is less taller in hgt from a Ruger black plastic guard. Brownells
has em too. I bought mine on a close out..Prt num's at Brownells are:
prt 601-906-310 smooth high $36.35
prt 601-906-311 nickel high $38.17

I am using a Bushnel mil dot with a 42mm OBJ. Do you think the medium would be high enough? (I had to cut off the little raised donut on my hand guard so the scope would fit.)

Well to be honest with you, I just don't know. I suppose I could
measure all the different sizes, but today is house cleaning chore
day..I will say this, if it helps..Observe if you will, that I use
Butler Creek Lens caps on each end. With the Choate stock they have
a fair amount of room to open and close. I don't remember the size.
The scope is a Tasco world class plus stadia 6x24-44. When I posted
above I was including the cap. Now why I got highs. To be able to
tear the rifle down for a proper cleaning the upper handguarg must
come off. I can just BARELY slip it off with the scope still attached.
Using Angle-loc rings, once you get the scope zeroed you don't really
want to remove it. The Angle-locs have just a HUGE amount of windage
adj that it took me a while to get it to shoot straight. I don't
have a bore sighter, so I have to use the plumb-bob method or install
a long pc or 1" round straight pole overhanging the barrel, in the
rings and center the rings this way, it's just a pain in the
butt to mess with..I haven't had any problems with them coming loose
or shifting.. The rifle shoots good groups. If there's any thing
wrong with the setup, it's the big nut behind the trigger..and I'm
not talking about the rifle...
