Well to be honest with you, I just don't know. I suppose I could
measure all the different sizes, but today is house cleaning chore
day..I will say this, if it helps..Observe if you will, that I use
Butler Creek Lens caps on each end. With the Choate stock they have
a fair amount of room to open and close. I don't remember the size.
The scope is a Tasco world class plus stadia 6x24-44. When I posted
above I was including the cap. Now why I got highs. To be able to
tear the rifle down for a proper cleaning the upper handguarg must
come off. I can just BARELY slip it off with the scope still attached.
Using Angle-loc rings, once you get the scope zeroed you don't really
want to remove it. The Angle-locs have just a HUGE amount of windage
adj that it took me a while to get it to shoot straight. I don't
have a bore sighter, so I have to use the plumb-bob method or install
a long pc or 1" round straight pole overhanging the barrel, in the
rings and center the rings this way, it's just a pain in the
butt to mess with..I haven't had any problems with them coming loose
or shifting.. The rifle shoots good groups. If there's any thing
wrong with the setup, it's the big nut behind the trigger..and I'm
not talking about the rifle...
