anyone try to install something like this in the factory synthetic stock for sling mounts?

i havent taken anything apart on my new tactical yet to see if it wound be feasible or not. i guess the main issue would be strength of the material the stock is made from. i found a great closeout deal on the magpul MS2 slings & am trying to decide if i want to order an extra one for the new mini.

Not that one specifically, but Impact Weapons makes a similar one that is working well in mine. Installed one in the front side and one in the butt. The one you're showing looks like it would be similar, just verify your clearance vs its thickness.

thanks! i'm thinking about putting one in the buttstock & still undecided as to whether i will use one up front or fabricate my own bracket similar to the magpul rsa.

There is room in the fore-end for similar designs. It can be in the sides or bottom.
