hell i haven't had my own insurance policy in 8 years.
wife has a small car lot so no need for me to get it.
if we need some type of service we always try to go with a locale company because we have first hand info on how hard it is for the little guy to make it .

If your a veteran with at least 4 years and 1 day of service, call USAA. I started using them while I was still active, and they cut my rates in half while moving me from state minimums to maximum coverage. I don't have the number handy, but the web site is https://ww3.usaa.com/lcs_corp/Logon

If you start it while your active you don't have to have the 4yr +1 day requirement.

They are a super company for costs and to work with, and they offer a lot of help for PCS moves, etc. if you are still active. I can't say enough good things about them.
