im pretty sure there'll be a mini-30 for me under the tree this Christmas. today, my father, who is not, how shall i say, "firearm inclined", was asking me all the details today, and he asked
"if i were to walk into a gun shop and say that i want a mini-30, would they know what it is?" kinda a good indicator. im really excited. i just wish i were older so i could by it myself and get it sooner.

yeah a while ago before i got into shooting a got a junior nra membership for free, and when it ran out i still wasnt really into guns, so i didnt wnat to put the $15 up to renew it. and my parents perspective on guns are, " well have them for defense, and well take you shooting, and maybe buy you or help you to buy a gun" last year i got my first .22 and my dad and i discovered a Colt Officers Model .38, and a Winchester Model 12 20 GA pump shotgun in our attic. the shotgun (my great grandfathers) was in mint condition, and the revolver had seen some pretty good use (it was actually used by the LAPD, it has it engraved on it, later discovered that it was purchased at a police auction by my great grandfather). so now im a pretty avid shooter (my friends call me a gun nut, a side affect of excercising your Second Amendment right in California), but next time i go to the range, i think ill try and get them to go
