pre-ban MINI 30

I was in a pawn shop today, the owner had a MINI 30 for sale for $399. he said that it was a pre-ban only the first three numbers where 189xxxx. is there any info on this site that can tell me if this is so? Kind of strange my new mini 30 is 189 also. Singleside out:rapid: :usa:

Hey singleside. It looks like all mini-30's have the 189- serial # Here is a chart, but don't know how accurate it is. Best to call Ruger , and they can tell ya when it was made (ban Sept 13, 1994) http://www.sportables.com/ruger_rifles.htm
