Hey Guys,

Well, I have emailed gunpartscorp.com and heard the bad news. The Mini-14 mags they have right now for $29.95 are not made by PMI. They also informed me that they had no springs or followers at this time. I hope they are just out of stock and that they will have more someday. I wonder what type of magazines they have? If they are priced the same as the PMI's, I wonder if they are decent quality? Perhaps they are John Masen mags, but I haven't found those anywhere. What a bummer. Guess I'll just have to pay more for the PMI's at another place. Or buy some factory Ruger mags.

Hey Op-Rod, The above link may help you with the John Mason Co. I have a 10 round clip of theirs, and it works great... As for PMI mags, they run $49.95 and up. That price you mentioned, would have told me that they were some unknown brand... I am currently involved with a Company that stated they had "New in box factory 20 round Ruger mags." After paying a hefty price, I got a "used in a plain brown ill fitting box 20 round mag" Thus, you have to be careful in who you do business with!!! There is a company called SWFA in De Soto Texas right now advertising 20 round PMI MAGS for $49.95. Stainless runs $74.95. Give them a call and see whats up. As for me, I will still be waiting for my New in box blah blah blah.......

I got disgusted with gunpartscorp. I went back and forth with them for several emails asking what brand of Mini 14 magazine they had. They finally wrote and told me to request PMI when I placed my order.

They apparently will not tell you what brand them have unless you place an order, which I think is a PITA. So, I don't want on placing any orders with them.

... to get a couple of parts to fill out a stock, and asked for a 30 round magazine for my mini 14. Much to my suprise the guy behind the counter comes back with a brand spank'n new Precision Mag. Ind. blue steel Mag in the wrapper!
Charges me $29.95 and tells me to have a good day!
Only lack of cash kept me from buying all they had.

Hope this clears up the what they have issue - No gaurantee from me.

Now I can try a SS to blue PMI mag feeding comparison.

Well, that only shows either they are either misleading we who contact them, or they don't know what they've got in stock. In any event, most of us cannot walk into their store and see what they have. I think they are giving their customers bad service, and it is going to hurt them. Out of the three of us dealing with them lately, two of us were disatisfied. I've dealt with them in the past, but their refusal to answer a simple question (whose mags?) is unacceptable IMO.

I have 2 of the SS 30 round PMI magazines. They work as well as the 5 rounder from Ruger.
