The following is a list of basic guidelines about what is and is not allowed while posting on our site. These rules are in addition to what is listed in our Terms Of Use. Please read through all of these sections before using our site and contact us if you have any questions.
  1. You may only have one account on this forum. No exceptions. If you have issues with your account or need help changing your username, password, email, etc. you can post for help or contact us.

  2. Users shall treat each other with respect at all times on Ideas and opinions may be challenged, but name-calling, personal attacks, or other inappropriate behavior will not be allowed and may cause your account to be banned. Harassment will not be tolerated in this community. This includes private messages, Avatars, Facebook, and/or social media and user emails.

    . Users shall not question or debate a moderator's decision publicly on the message board. In the event of a disagreement or questioning of a moderator's decision or action, users should contact the moderator(s) or admin(s) via private conversation (message).

    2b. Users shall not question or debate another member's qualifications publicly on the message board. Instead, any questionable posts should be reported using the "Report Post" button.

    2c. Trolling behavior is not allowed on This includes deliberately posting inflammatory, irrelevant, or highly offensive comments for the purpose of disrupting the community or harassing another member.

  3. Discriminatory remarks of any sort will not be tolerated. This includes degrading and/or offensive remarks about an individual or a group of individuals based on their race, color, ethnicity, sex, sexuality, age, nationality, religious affiliation, or indeed any other basis.

  4. Do not disclose private information about members without their consent (e.g. names, contact details, pictures, details about personal life, etc. - this includes private messages, Facebook, email, and social media in part.)

  5. Do not post messages on behalf of banned members. They are banned for a reason. Doing so will result in a ban for the poster who is conveying the message, and an increase in the ban length for the poster who is sending the message.

  6. Member signatures shall be appropriate, both in content and in size. No excessively obscene or rude language/content is allowed, nor may you use it to harm, harass or insult fellow members or to spread messages which are generally forbidden. If necessary, we reserve the right to delete or edit members' signatures at any time.

  7. You may not post advertisements on our site outside of our Market Place. Approved Vendors have their own sections within the Vendor Member Section.

  8. No adult-rated material, links to links to adult-rated material, or any form of nudity may be posted on this site. In addition to nudity, all forms of sexual content (images, jokes, etc...) are prohibited from being posted on the site. This includes images of scantily clad men or women. Please help us keep this site family-friendly.

  9. Profanity shall be kept to a minimum, abuse of this rule will result in an infraction up to and including a permanent ban.

  10. You may only post material and content that you own. Posting copyrighted material, trademarks, and other violations of the DMCA is prohibited


Forum users are WELCOME to express their views. They are not welcome to name-call, use derogatory or belittling language, etc. The forum will be open to civil and rational discourse and anything less is not considered acceptable behavior.

Many forum users may decry this mode as a violation of their First Amendment rights and censorship. Freedom of speech, the First Amendment and censorship applies to governments. This forum is not government. This is a private forum. And as a private space, the owners and management of this space have a reasonable expectation of decorum and the purview to manage that decorum.

To put it another way: If you are welcomed into a home and accept such a welcome... If you then sat down and started spewing filth and coarse epithets at the homeowner, the homeowner’s family or the news on the homeowner’s TV... The homeowner would be understandably right to demand that you tone it down and watch your mouth. It's their house. And if you chose to ignore that demand, the homeowner would be understandably right to declare that you are no longer welcome. That is exactly what is going on here.

Forum users may applaud or decry any political event or person according to the rules of discussion. They may not do so in the vulgar manner described above. The ability to participate in political discussion on this forum is considered a privilege. Forum users who insist upon not abiding by these rules will be warned. Repeat offenders will be met with harsher and more severe penalties, ultimately resulting in a permanent and outright ban.

Any violation of these rules may result in a warning infraction up to and including a permanent ban. Please help us keep this site user-friendly and report any instances of rule violations. These rules may be altered at any time without notice so please check this page often. Thanks.

As a note, the News and Political Forum has additional Rules --READ THEM BEFORE POSTING IN THAT FORUM

Also, the staff has invited several previously banned members back on a trial basis because we want them to remain part of the forum. (Banned members have a line through their name. Example: BannedGuy ) Everyone is asked to follow the same set of rules, we ask everyone please read them and think before posting. If you think something might get you into trouble, we suggest you refrain from posting it, give it some time, rephrase it, remember to respect other members even if you disagree with them, then maybe post it (or not).

What you post is up to you. You CAN shout "FIRE!" in a crowded theater--if there is a fire posing a serious threat it might make you a hero, whereas shouting "FIRE!" for one's own entertainment will probably come with a lot of negative repercussions. It's mostly the same here, if you say something respectfully (the forum rules lay out the guidelines) you're fine, whereas saying something insulting / derogatory / defamatory / completely uncalled for / etcetera burdens the staff with additional work beyond dealing with SPAMmers and broken stuff (SPAMmers create enough headaches, the staff doesn't need more work).

So, if you happen to be one of those previously banned members, you're back because the staff--who are members here--want you here. Please follow the rules [even if you don't like them], and if things start to get under your skin take a step back, maybe Unfollow the thread, [and maybe avoid the political forum completely]. You probably contributed a bunch of tips / insight / other stuff we really appreciate and would love to hear more of while sipping coffee [or whiskey]. That's what we want to be doing, listening to your [gun/scope/shooting] advice, not doing administrative stuff like issuing warnings and banning members. --And WELCOME BACK!
