I started to buy the parkerizing solution mix from Brownell's. I opted for the Brownell's Teflon/Moly bulk coating that is airbrushed on. Seems almost like KG Guncoat. You clean with Acetone. Airbrush it on. Bake it in the oven at around 300 deg. for around 30 minutes. I've coated every part except the springs and the firing pin, yes even the trigger group was taken apart and sprayed. WARNING! This stuff will build up and can cause parts to be too tight. Spray on light coats and let it dry then bake it. The stuff is self lubricating but I use a mil. spec. moly grease on my mini for added lubricity. I didn't coat the inside of the chamber or barrel. One thing about this stuff. If it wears off it can be recoated. So far it's worked for me. I've coated a 45 auto., Pump shotgun, and my mini. This stuff will scratch and wear but it's very durable and I like it because it won't let water next to the metal and cause rust.

King, do you think this stuff is good for treating something you want to store for a long time, as in several years? (not the parkerize, but the teflon/molly)
