I've bought a Wood/Blued Ranch model and in the CA waiting period now. While reading through the threads I've seen some indications that there may be differences in the new 197 serial number series from earlier models and some accessories might not fit?

Does anyone know if it is true there are differences and what they are? I want to order some accessories but if fit is now an issue I want to find out.

I don't believe there is any difference. The whole thing started because Cheaper Than Dirt posted on their web site, that the Blackwarrior muzzle brake wouldn't fit newer than 195 series mini's, because the barrel dia is diff. Not True! Many of us have posted they fit our 196 series just fine. You shouldn't have a problem tricking out your new mini.
