LOL!

What I "sense" is a torrent of whining by a few people who use the forum to dump their fear, rage and childish temper tantrums on the rest of us and are desperately afraid that they won't be able to do it anymore.

Yes, behavior has improved.

Let's not let it slide back to to ugly levels of just a few weeks ago.

The fear, rage, hate and temper tantrums should go where they belong.......in confidence to a priest, pastor or psychiatrist.
there is a happy medium between expression and outright verbal attacks on members..knowing the difference makes you an adult...censoring every word does not make for a better forum.....what I have found in real life, 2 or more guys can bash each other all day long and at the end of the day have a cold one together as the best of friends...the same works on forums..I have seen people go at it over 1 subject, then help each other out on another subject....
or people complaining about a thread they dont have to open or read, but they do it knowing whats in it, and then complain even more...its human nature....and now more than ever with the snowflakes getting their feelings hurt and wanting to shut down everything they dont like, you have to ask yourself..where does it stop and common sense come back into play...a decade ago this would never be an issue on any forum..as most members have a backbone...
this country is quickly becoming a soft weak population afraid of their own shadow...well at least half of it...

No, this is not about "snowflakes," or "hurt feelings" or "people without a backbone."

It's simply about adult discussion without resorting to namecalling and insults.

Calling someone on the other side a "Libtard" or a "Trumptard" does not make an argument stronger--it makes it weaker.

It also causes people (potential members) to go elsewhere.

It causes forums to die.

How about all the whining, e.g. about men in blue who make a mess of things, for example? I could do with less of that! lol Oh, and of course it's gotten much more calm and pleasant, since so many have been banned or stopped posting (e.g. in politics).

The MEN here are not causing the problem.

The MEN are behaving like adults.

The little boys with their childish insults, hate, racism, bigotry and homophobia are causing the problem.

If you're in favor of returning the forum to the chaos of a few weeks ago.......well, I'm sure hardly anybody wants that.

I wasnt here weeks ago, but have been on other forums that have had the same issues...and they lost just as many members or more after they banned a few...and now they are very quiet..mostly because everyone left from being censored...for other than personal attacks...again, I will say the personal attacks should be kept to the minimum, but censoring descriptive language just leads to more censorship till you have noone willing to put up with it...

Nobody is censoring "descriptive language."

I'm a great fan of descriptive language.

It's the mean and petty insults that are meant to hurt and degrade others.......and the way this seems to escalate into racial slurs and, even worse, threats of violence.

Hate and rage have no place here......face it.

I hate the way socialists are trying to take over America.
So that makes me childish for your info hate is a great
motivator. Learned that in the military.
Your social justice warrior attitude also pi$$es me off.
Why do social norms have to conform to your rulebook.
If you want to be in charge start your own site and see
how it goes and leave the rest of us alone to be what
and who we really are.
I guess I just do not want to be anyone's clone especially
yours. As I said elsewhere F'K off, your harshing my buzz
dude.
The anti-nanny brigade is alive and well.

Hate also motivates people to do good things.
Check WWII history for examples.

So, we appear to have lost some regular posters, right, like Parnelli and Freesw? Their absence could be coincidental, though it is more concerning considering the volume of apparently silent bannings recently. Free seems like a potential candidate for one of those, though perhaps some others are disgruntled by the recent changes/shift?

We've lost a lot more than that (Free, by the way, is on a well-deserved 30-day vacation).

The chaos caused by Free and people like Turkeestalker (banned) and his friends and their ugly competition to see who could post the most vulger and filthy personal insults had taken over the Forum a while back.

The fact that 2rangers called me a child molester yesterday shows that some of that gang are still around and working to destroy the Forum.

Firm, immediate and consistent moderation is the only thing that can save this forum now.

Right now there are SIX members logged on. The average successful forum would have at least 200-300.

Take a break even if your rulebook was in effect there would not
be a mass influx of people.
This site is known for the mini forum only.
If it was known for ar info there would be a lot more users.
You just don't get it do you as long as the mini is the main
focus here there will never be a large number of online
users. I do not believe the political forum is driving member away.
I cannot find or remember the total number of registered users
but I believe it was over 20K +.
There was one time max of some thing like 1400+ logged in
and if memory serves that was many years ago.
The only forum that has loosened rules is the political forum
anywhere other than there obnoxious behavior is not allowed.
So if you do not want to wear your big boy pants do not go there.
But get off your soap box you are the one giving people second
thoughts about what being a member is like.
So in closing STFU your not helping...

Here are the numbers...

Nearly 3 million have been made so far. The two most common being the standard Mini-14 and the Ranch Rifle, which starting in 2005, was redesigned and the standard Mini-14 and Ranch Rifle became the same when the 580 Series came online.

May 31, 2020 After all, the AR-15 is the most popular rifle platform in America. NSSF shared their calculations with Breitbart, showing an estimated 16= million privately owned AR-15s in the U.S. You cannot be blamed if you thought the number was closer to 250 or 300.

The National Shooting Sports Foundation — the trade association for the firearms industry — put out a numbers report on Wednesday indicating that 17.74 million modern sporting rifles are currently privately owned in the United States.

So eggo your assignment is to buy enough mini's to make up the difference.
Maybe then we will have the appropriate number of users you desire.

The only thing dying here should be your rhetoric that death is imminent.
Even if it is you are not going to stop it by shutting down the second most
active forum here.

Your desperate excuses are laughable.

How many are logged in right now is the meaningful number.

In the past few weeks I've never seen it hit ten.......usually from two to six.

That's pathetic.

Right now we have this:

Online statistics
Members online 6
Guests online 118
Total visitors 124
Totals may include hidden visitors.

Keep up the namecalling and hatespeech........maybe you can be the only one left here and you'll have it all to yourself........until they pull the plug.
