Hey guys,
Does anyone have any info on Springfield Sar-8 (HK clone). I found one in a pawn shop for under $600.00. It looks like a great deal, but I cant find any reviews and dont want to get stuck. It has green plastic furniture and a cast receiver with scope rail built in. If anyone has any info or knows where i can find some please let me know. Thanks.:usa:

They are actually one of the better made H&K 91 clones out there.I've read nothing but good things about them. The thing I don't like about them is the Alum receiver,it just does'nt look right. I've had alum receiver H&K91 clones,and they functioned OK,but the way that they "bang" their brass on the side of the receiver,it tore it up (cosmetically). If you are in the market for an H&K91 clone,there are several places you can find them with the sheet steel (just like the original) for $500-$600 brand new.

But I must stress that my dislike for alum receiver clones is PURELY cosmetic,and the SAR-8's have a good reputation.$600 seems cheaper than I recall seeing them in the past.

I did notice marks behind the ejection port, didnt know what to make of it. I was looking @ the CETME clones when the SAR caught my eye. The SAR looks a little better put together though.

I don't like the CHEAP rear site on the cetmes (not H&K,like most clones),other then that,my buddy swears by his!

They do make brass deflectors,but they are TOUGH to find!!!

Just checked with gunsamerica.com and all the sar-8's are going for over $1200!
