I went down to Academy and bought my self my first Ruger 10/22. I already have a Ruger Mini14 and as much as I love it I knew that the 10/22 would suit my needs. As soon as I got home I started striping it down and making my plan to refinish it.

Primer and Paint

After it was all sanded down I got my primer and paint ready to go. The clear coat was a tough choice but I think I got one that fit my needs pretty well.

Clear Coat and Assembly

After four coats of paint it was time for four coats of clear coat and then re-assembly.

Rail and Bipod

I decided to come back and install a rail on the bottom side and then add a bipod. Along with the new paint job, red dot, and bipod I think this little Ruger came out looking pretty good.

Thanks, I took it out this weekend and it shoots great and clean up was pretty easy. I think the four coats of clear coat really helped there. I was debating whether or not I should go back and try adding black tiger strips or not. For now I am just going to enjoy it a bit before breaking it down and doing more work on it.
