nice, just curious if you have shot groups with the Bayonet on, seem like the weight would tame the barrel whip and might affect POA. Might be a nice alternative to a barrel strut
Looks like the bayo slips over the Eagle FH OK.
What type bayonet and lug did you use?
shooting off a bench using a rolled up sleeping bag rest I can knock around MOA on a good day. with Lapua fmj. a better rest and shooter likely do better. this is at 100 yds. I've fired out to 300 yds with a 100 yd sight in and hold over from the NRA book, around 7" group wind was gusting some that day and wet too. I was about to buy a new .30 carbine when I came across this at a LGS. some fitting and tinkering has me a decent MBR methinks.
Forgot to add that I had to spin a flap wheel mounted on a madrel inside the bayonet mount ring for a bit of clearance over the Eagle FH. Good eye to notice it's an Eagle, no longer made AFAIK.
Coletrain nutted the band from measurements and photos of the mounting clip. Works perfectly.
New here and just picked up my first Ruger. A Mini 14 in 6.8 SPC. I’ve been looking for one for some time now and I finally found one in pristine condition. Here she is along with my AR in 6.8 and also my Savage 110 that I converted to 6.8.
Started by painting a couple mags. Escalated to refinishing the entire stock. At least it all matches now.
Rust-oleum Painter's Choice (Hunter Green Satin with Matte Clear topcoat, 2 coats each). Hogue stock. PMI 10 round mags. Ruger 5 round mag.
Here are the rules:
