muzzlebrake installation

1117 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  joel broersma
Just got the mason brake from midway and realized that the front sight is required to make it fit. Is there any way to shim it out so that I do not need to buy a front sight as mine was removed before I purchased the rifle?

Also, I would like to install a pistol grip without losing the wood stock. Has anyone seen this done or atempted it?

Thanks

That would be a thick shim, you can get a new sight from numeric gun parts http://www.e-gunparts.com/productschem.asp...el=1910zMINI-14 for $6.45.

Was your barrel cut? If not no problem. If yes you may have to drill the barrel slot which keeps the sight pinned in place. Also if your barrel was cut, you may have to take a few thou off the barrel dia for the sight to fit.
