How's it going guys? Just a couple of quick (dumb) questions.
1- Will a muzzle brake alone cut down the recoil on a mini 30 noticeably?

2- I'm sure it is fairly simple but how do you actually install one?

3- I've seen John Masen reccomended, is this a good bet?

Thanks again guys, you've helped out before, and i know you will come through again.:usa:

Sorry tomcat, with the new site were finding our way around. I musta missed your post somehow.

I installed the BW muzzle brake on my mini. It reduced recoil, and muzzle flip, but not as much as installing smaller gas port bushing. What I really noticed from the muzzle brake was it cut groups in half at 100 yds.

I installed the muzzle brake, shock buffer (home made), and smaller gas port bushing. Under rapid fire, I'm able to keep the scope cross hair on the bull. The Recoil is WAY less than before.

The John Masen, and the Blackwarrior are the same brake. You just drive out your front site pin, slip the brake over the front site, drive in the new longer pin. Your done. Use a block of wood to back up. Its easy. ;)
