For anyone interested. I picked up a Master Piece Arms MPA30 carbine. An improved version of a Cobray MAC 11. The MPA30 uses cheap Sten mags. I got the one with side mounted charging handle (FAR better than the top mounted IMHO)and scope mount. The carbine has a 16" barrel with a muzzel brake making it about 18". It also has a forward mounted pistol grip (FAL) mounted on the forend. Shooting was at 100 yards because we were also shooting AR's and did'nt want to move the table closer because it was so muddy there. Ammo was 150 rds. of 124gr. ball reloads, 200rds. WW white box 115gr. ball and 200rds of S&B 115gr. ball. We did'nt sort ammo for best group size. Shooting was mostly to test function and dependability and fun factor. I brought 17 Sten mags that have worked well in my Olympic 9mm AR wich was also along. I had a Simmons 2.5 shotgun scope mounted on the MPA. The best 5 shot group was right at 3 inches with the best shooter there (not me). Most groups were around 5 inches when benched off a improvised rest off the picnic table. Best thing is there were only 3 misfeeds out of all rounds fired. Fit and finish is better than the Cobray 11. The muzzel brake did'nt make it any louder than the Olympic 9mm that did'nt have one as far as anyone could tell. Only about 40 rounds were used slow fire for accuracy, all the rest were at a quick pace at 1lb. coffee cans. The only downside is she chewed up the soft shock buffer pretty good and had some slight trigger slap that only bothered a couple of shooters, most did'nt notice. Most people there could'nt believe there were only 3 feed failures out of all rounds fired, no failures to extract, eject or fire a chambered round. No cleaning or lube during shooting session. All in all not a bad little blaster that uses cheap Sten mags. :ar15:

Natedog. sorry no pictures. If my nephew comes up this summer I'll have him post some pictures for me of some of my rifles. My computer skills are limited. heres a link http://www.rpbusa.com/mpa.html Except for the buffer getting chewed up it functioned very well. I called on the buffer and they shipped a couple spares. I'll put another 4-500 rounds through it again next week. One of the guy's ordered the pistol version with the fake can and it should be in for the get together also. I wonder if their grease gun mag fed 45 ACP. Model works as well.
