Hi,
Can anyone tell me if it's a big deal to "mix" moly coated and regular rounds. I seem to remember reading if you used moly you needed a clean bore and you couldn't switch back without scrubbing all the moly out before you went back to plain jacketed bullets.
Thanks

Thanks Cajungeo,
The whole thing sounds like moly is more trouble than it's worth. Most of what I read said cleaning and throat wear were the reasons to use moly. I don't mind cleaning and the throat on a factory barrel isn't worth an extra couple thousand rounds.
My whole reason was I bought some 40 grain V Max bullets I wanted to try, but they were moly coated. I'll just shoot them up, clean out the moly and go back to regular bullets. Unless I get a one inch group or so.
Thanks again.
John
