Placed an online order with M1S on Saturday, 1/19/13. The status of my order until yesterday was "Waiting to be Processed". As of today, the status has changed to "Being Processed". So that makes for a 4 week wait for just the processing. Hopefully I'll see it in a week or so.

I placed an order on Dec 27th. I emailed them today and received a quick response stating:

"Due to the volume of orders place mid-December, we are estimating delivery between 3-4 months from the date you placed your order. We appreciate your patience."
I put a order in last week (24" varmint upper with stainless steel bull barrel, freefloat), and I don't expect it to come in for another month or so. I would rather them take their time and get it right the first time then send me a jacked up upper. But it's like that all over, and the prices at my local gun store are horrendous ($1900 for a 16" 1/9 .223 with A2 fixed carry handle and iron sights, and it's some off brand lower) and that's the cheapest. I could have bought that in November for 1000 less, crazy. But I've heard that M1S does good work so hopefully it's worth the wait.
Well gang, I guess we just gotta sit back and wait. Sgtwright, glad you got that quick of a response. That tells me that there are still people at M1S working on the orders. I can wait.

Hcim101 - yes, prices are ridiculously too high. During a hurricane in our area, if there was one filling station with electricity selling gasoline at jacked up prices - that was considered price gouging but when a "ban" threat is mentioned, and prices shoot up (pun intended) it's called "supply and demand". but as long as someone is willing to pay....... I went to a gun show many years ago, it was my first. As you walked through the main entrance, up on there display wall was an AR-15 with very intricate engraving inlay in gold. Now this was back in the early '80s and it had a price tag of $2500 in a time when most AR's were going for around $500 or $600. I thought to myself - "Who in the world would pay that much for a gun that should, and probably will never be fired?" I swear, about 15 minutes later a guy had it slung over his shoulder. But as long as someone is willing to pay...... The guy didn't even get a case with it - sad.

Enough soap boxing.
