Mini-30 Barrel OD??

Hi, I am new to the list. My question is pretty simple: Does anyone know the O.D. of the mini-30 barrel directly behind the front sight. I would mike it myself but my buddy borrowed it for deer season and still has it. If he ever brings it home I'm gonna shorten it by 2" and install a break on it. Thanks---Allen
