When Ruger stopped making 20- and 30-round hi-caps, it went to 5rd so that it wouldn't stick out from beneath the lines of the stock.

Politically correct BS if you ask me. Prudent business if you ask others. You be the judge.

Ruger never did provide anything other than 5 round mags with Minis intended to be sold to civilians. Only Minis intended for LE included 20 rounders. The 5 rounders date back to before the hi-cap ban when the purpose was to provide a mag legal for hunting. Most states had imposed a 5 round capacity limit while hunting. Gotta give the critters a chance!

No, Ruger does not produce any 10 round mags. They did in the past (I have 2 of them) but they haven't made any in years. I'm told they were made for export only and this was way before the hi-cap mag ban. These have metal floorplates just like the 20 rounders instead of the plastic flooplates like the 5 rounders. There is no reason that Ruger couldn't start making them again except that they choose not too. You would think that since Bill Sr. retired, Ruger would loosen up. Maybe after he's passed....
