Someone posted that using the heavy spring instead of a smaller gas port provided the same results. It seems that it would slow the bolt from opening as violently but would slam closed harder jarring you off target. Any ideas here?

A heavy operating rod recoil spring,will change op rod action. I will test it for myself. Read everything,listen to everyone, belive nothing unless you can prove it in your own research. Its all about freedom Singleside out:usa: :rapid:

I put a wolf spring in my mini 30 and find that it will strip the first round off the magazine much better when fully loaded and the ejected cases are not as badly dented. Cases are still ejected about 30 feet away although.
