Anybody ever had any luck with removing the front sight and installing an aftermarket front sight/muzzle brake combo?

I can't get the damn thing to budge - what's the secret, or should I forget about it?

After removing the front sight pin,(using a piece of scrap wood to protect the muzzle) place the muzzle end of the barrel on this safe surface.Next beat the piss out of the blade sight using a brass punch (larger size} clean surface and instal your front site/flash hider. "this is the basement method"

Drift out the pin with the correct size pin punch. Hang the barrel in a vise and tighten it so that the jaws contact the rear edge of the sight but not the barrel. Using a plastic hammer, whack the muzzle sharply until the sight comes off. Be sure you hang onto the barreled action, or it's going to end up on the floor.
