[QB Too]

My Mini-14 Model 5832 has the 1/2" X 28 tpi (if that matters) and needs a replacement star washer. The flash hider was removed and the star washer was dropped and subsequently found after it had been thoroughly crushed by someone's big ole boot

Does anyone know what size washer this is and if I need to order from Ruger or is it something a local hardware store may have. I can call Ruger tomorrow but thought it might be a cheap part that I can buy locally.

By the way, what's the purpose of the washer, just a buffer between the metal of the flash hider and the end of the barrel? Just trying to understand the parts of the mini-14 a little better. Thanks

Put a crush washer from an ar-15 on there ,, I have one and it's just fine.

Check out Home Depot or Lowes or a local fastener supply. Thats what I did to replace gas block screws it was like 3 bucks for 15 of them

Bring it to Home Depot and match it up....they should have one that will be pretty similar...

ive always find the odd stuff at Ace Hardware. They simply have the best selection. From SS to brass.
