Is it any good? Would it be worth upgrading to Butler Creek synthetic if im trying to keep costs relatively low? Hogue is out of the question, I want to fiberglass bed and paint.. too much hassle

What stock do you have now? I like the feel of the wood and it is easy to bed but I also love the feel of my overmolded Hogue on my 196 and it did not take too much to bed either.

Sgthighway,

Like mine on my 196 series bought new, with mods, Accu-strut, front and rear shock absorbers, Masen flashhider/stabalizer, hand loads, 65 gr Sierra
3/4" at 100yrds. Scope Bushnell 3-9x40 multi-X. Lock up with the trigger group and action is very tight. Action doesn't have any movement I can detect front to rear or side to side. Guess it depends on what you get when you buy. My action and barrel are stainless so I liked the look. Shot around 800rounds through it before I did the mods and handloads. Before that accuracy was the typical "3-4" at 100yrds.
