Is there such a thing?
I noticed when I did the finger push test on the follower in my factory mags there was not an anti-tip design employed.
Is it needed?
Never saw a problem with factory mags, only aftermarket models. The general rule has been to buy up extra factory followers and replace them in aftermarket mags.
This has been discuss a while back, the AR followers don't have the plastic tip that holds the bolt stop up and locks the bolt back on an empty mag. You can get Ruger followers that are anti-tip, look at Midway USA or Brownells.
