I want to sing the praises of the Marlin 795. It is a semi-auto .22 LR that can be purchased for about $140, and that doesn't include the $25 rebate from Marlin.

It is very accurate and reliable. It comes with sling studs installed, and the bolt locks open on the last shot. It's a great rifle for the money.

The only con is the iron sights that it comes with. They consist of a rear blade with a front bead sight. I think they are nearly useless. Fortunatey, aperature sights can be purchased from Tech Sights, and they are awesome.

I too sing the praises of the 795! It's a shame that someone doesn't make higher capacity magazines and more accessories for it. By-the-way, it's not unusual to catch it on sale for under a 100 Bucks not counting the rebate!
