Magnum Mini?

Yes the PPC series would be a very good upgrade for the Mini. Ridge Runner who contributes to this forum at times had one built by the outfit in Texas & claims very good accuracy. Of course he had it done with a bull barrel so that would make quite a bit of difference too. You should only consider this round if you really enjoy handloading because making the PPC case from a different parent case can sometimes be frustrating. I don't know how long the newly formed cases would last either when having to resize after each firing.

The standard way the benchrest boys do it is with 220 Lapua brand cases. Forming is a one shot die which "bumps up" (opens the diameter of the neck of the brass from .220 to .243 size bullets... The shoulder and all the rest of the brass is already formed when you buy the 220 Russian cases...

(ALL BRASS is FIREFORMED to it's chamber after ANY brass is fired from any reloadable brass... in any firearm!!!)

The neck outside diameters are turned slightly to fit your chamber and increase accuracy... There is no more case prep after 1st firing than any other reload process... You can order the brass already prepped and turned... Brass life is as long as any other reload 25-50 chamberings and some guys say they never wear out... AB
