Hey deerhntr, I used my search engine, and these came up. Looks like some 4x forums, and many links, may do it for ya. I have owned several 4x since 84. I like the capability to go anywhere anytime.
Have been a lot of places in colorado. There are a lot of places a 4x an go nobody else can. Course now everyone is getin those pesky Quads. I think I may eventually get one. They shure are handy for getin back deep, and dragging out your kill.
Also been to dumont dunes, in california. What a ride on the sandrail. We had 10 in our group. Several didn't have the sandrail, but had quads, they could keep up in follow the leader, even up suiside hill. At night we circled the vehicles like a wagen train, build a big camp fire, break out the suds, and barbecue, light a gas filled tire on top of a dune, and let it roll. What a time!:D
Also in colorado, I ran across a river where about 6 ford, and chevy trucks were in a dual, crossing the river. The water was about mid grill high. They had extreem raised suspension, and they sounded like prostock.
There is also a world class 4x mountain in colorado, people from all over the world attempt to reach the summit. It takes a team of 2, and the average 4x suv, dosen't have a chance. Me and my brother used to camp at the base, on the sheer side. Out of all of the attempts, we only saw someone at the summit now, and then.
Went through Coo's Bay Oregon once. About 40 miles of sand dunes. Every one had quads to ride. It was a beautyful place.
Sorry about all the ramblings, I hope the links help. I will check em out myself when I get a chance.:D

Cajungeo,
You mentioned going on 4x4 trips to Colorado. A good friend of mine was the Toyota editor for off-road.com, one of the links you posted. Here is a link to one of his articles. He is the author and the pictures are his truck. He also made treks to Colorado for 4x4 events.

Let me know if you ever met him. I'll let you know what he's been doing.

Hey Kali, can't say I ever met scott. Usually on these events you have a 3 day growth of beard, wearing a hat, and sunglasses. Its kinda tough to reconize someone unless you know em real well. Once when I got home, and saw myself in the mirror I didn't reconize myself either.
