that's beyond cool !That would be a great day indeed! worked at the big holder weapons complex at Ft. Knox, ky while in the army in the late 80's there were huge cage's full of 1911's some still new in the w.w.2 plastic wrap. handled a lot of singer & remington rand's that looked close to mint. always wondered what happen to those fine pistols.
I have the same one with checkered wood grip panels. Awesome pistol!!! When the weather is too hot to carry it concealed, I carry my Interarms Walther PPK/S.My first 1911...Kimber Custom TLE II![]()
