IMHO, leave all NcStar parts alone -- I have yet to see anything they make live up to expectations or hold up to any amount of use.

Warne, Weigand, and GG&G are my recommendations.

I ended up purchasing an Amega scout rail. The seller said that particular mount was made by AIM (never heard of it before).

Money wisely spent!

I personally love Scout-mounted optics.
