I just got my muzzlebrake today. It is the type that slips over your front blade. It came with a longer pin to replace the one that holds the blade on. What is the best way to replace it? What do I need to do? By taking the existing pin out, am I running a risk of messing up my sighting? Any and all advise is welcome.
Thanks,
Mike

It is simple to install. Rest the side of the barrel and muzzle end on a 2X4 for support. Use a finishing nail or center punch just a size smaller than the roll pin. Drive the original roll pin out, fit the brake into place over the sight, then drive the new longer roll pin home, centering it into the groove (as viewed from the top of the sight). There you have it... Good luck and good shooting!

By removing the factory pin, do I run the risk of my front blade moving, which would throw my sighting off?

Not to worry... it would take a BIG hammer to move the front blade.
