Hello,
I recently bought a barrel shroud for my 14. The instructions are kinda vague and i don't know which end to put forward on the barrel. There is a ring that rotates and 2 small prongs that stick up, does this go towards the sight or the stock?

Welcome Ben, I moved your post to the mini-14 talk for you.
It is hard to figure out what kinda shroud you have, but if it is similar to the stock ruger shroud, one end should be radiused to fit inside the gasblock groove (the small end). The two prongs snap around the barrel, you will have to figure where the ring goes, unless someone else has experience with it. Hope this helps ya some

Sounds like you may have the one in Cabelas catalog. I don't know who makes it. It fits between gas block and front sight. Mine came with a sling swivel that screws into the ring you mentioned. In catalog they show ring next to gas block. I put mine on next to front sight as I have my mini tricked out with fake folding stock. Tip : have allen wrench and Locktite handy for all those set screws first time you shoot.
