I was at a pawn shop on friday saw the 308 fal type metric rifle set up like I want on my mini 14. It had a scope mount with a detachable scope & mounts I really liked,it already had the rear peep site. Why am I having such a hard time getting this on my rifle,I found the flat mount, scope, rings, But no peep site to use w/out the scope. A R&R site to go on & off the flat weaver/ millet type base. Thanks

The easiest solution would be to sell the POS mini 14 & buy the Fal.

Sorry, the mini 14 is what I want to fix up. As far as drobs remark, we come here so we dont hear all that jazz about pos etc.etc,there are reasons for keeping and working on each thing /rifle one being my dead Father left me a few things & he asked me to look after them,he knew they could be made to shhooott,he died before the net,just in the last 18 months have we been able to explore a few ideas theres no telling what he would say to you or do for such a remark,no offense intended we come to the Perfect Union because it is full of mini fans as was my father. OKay so you got a min set up fosii 14,rings detach, weaver base? try a rear sight for an AR, Knights,ARMS 40, or any of the match style also look at Williams sights try Brownells too.

And I hate RUGERS BUTTTT,,a rifle is a rifle and any shooter should stop complaining about what some one else owns and give a helping hand when asked.

Thanks folks, that knights arm sounds good, I was at the same pawn shop today there was a poly tech copy M14 799,olympic arms ar15 799 post ban short barrel, muzzle Brake,a bushmaster ar15 I think it was 899.oo post ban,both looked and felt real good ,bushmster had no brake heavier barrel than the olympic,and the hand gaurds went down to the front sight on that short barrel it looked odd.
