Greetings 1911 Fans..

I recently inherited a Colt 1911 -Colt's MK IV Series '70. Government Model, 70G74554. I am thinking about selling this firearm to those who truly appreciate the Colts. However, I am not sure what price point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no box or papers.

Thanks

Depends

Is the bluing in good shape. Is this a nightstand firearm or was it routinely fired, maybe both???

800-1000 sounds like a good range to start with.

Maybe take it to a gunsmith and let them run through it. That should give you an idea of what to ask in that range.

"Tightness" and accuracy will affect pricing. If it has been shot out the price will suffer. Like another said--if it is a night stand shooter. Looks nice from the pics but a little distant to offer any close estimates. Like my Colts. Son gave me a stainless commemorative Afghan/82 Colt for Christmas--still have not shot it--may not.
