Use the slave... but your question brought back memories
Back in 1972 I took my Daddy's '62 Win. Mod. 88 trigger assembly apart without any instructions or slave pins. I kept it hid for three days between the mattresses until I got it back together. Couple of months ago I took the same trigger apart, cleaned and re-assembled it in a 1/2 hour or so... Slave pins are your friend and so are good rifles
