On my mini14, I want to leave the wood stock on for looks and I like the shorter LOP than the hogue. Has anyone done a side by side accuracy test to see if the hogue will make the mini more accurate? I'm also wondering if anyone has shortened the LOP on a hogue?
I just put the Hogue on my Mini-30. It was easy to install and fits very nice. I actually like the longer stock and rubber butt pad over the shorter wood stock. Deer hunting will be a little easier because I won't have to worry about nicking/scratching the walnut stock in the thick Ozark Mountains. I haven't shot the carbine with the new stock yet so I'll see how it handles in a couple weeks when I get down to my dads farm. The black stock does look better with my blued rifle.
