Hi cap. mags in California

Another question about my magazines I forgot to ask in my last post: Are they legal to use in California (they are 20's and 30's)? They are pre-ban, made before 9/14/94. Or are they banned regardless of date of manufacture? Forgive my ignorance, but I'm not up to snuff on these laws because I've never owned a semi-auto rifle. Does anyone know if they are legal in Oregon, where I'll be moving to in a few years?

OK to own and use only if you had them before the california ban.
Say you really wanted some and drove to Reno or Vegas and picked some up - you would be breakin' the law when you crossed state line!
I read on the internet somewhere that if you need to have a dated reciept for each an every mag you own noterized with your name, all dated before the ban.;)
(not a joke)
I've speculated with some people on another board about - what if you travel out of state with your "legal" hi cap mags - do you break the law when you come back in? Is that importation?
The point is that these laws suck and even if you are really careful, you could still get stuck:(
Something to think about!

"2003 Dangerous Weapons Control Law
ARTICLE 2. UNLAWFUL CARRYING AND POSSESSION OF WEAPONS

12020. (a) Any person in this state who does any of the following is punishable by imprisonment in a county jail not exceeding one year or in the state prison:
2) Commencing January 1, 2000, manufactures or causes to be manufactured, imports into the state, keeps for sale, or offers or exposes for sale, or who gives, or lends, any large-capacity magazine."

Hmm, define "imports into the state"?
