the 'Eagle' brand HK type front sight/brake on my 30 showing the bayonet mount in the large photo
the other shows the sight in more detail, sorry not very good quality photo. the ring fits concentric with the Williams peep aperture of the rear sight which really improved the iron sight picture.

Love the Eagle stuff! I've always heard they accommodate a bayonet, but have never seen it done.

I had to ream the 'ring' of my bayonet out a hair to slip over the brake onto the body o.d. (round) just ahead of the HK type sight. it's a surplus Swiss bayo, member here 'coltrane' made (printed) the rear lug. I had to remove the sight to install it, a split ring type mount. don't anticipate using the bayonet for combat but it's surely a way to impress any 'agitator' that may cross path. it was just coincidence the ring was close to the o.d. of the sight, it wasn't specifically made to fit a bayonet. but as said the sight sure helps the iron sight picture.
