its funny how evil the AR is considered but with a Wal mart mini 14 you can basically do the same thing that a AR does.

Yep. Thought about getting a Bushmaster. In the end I think I would prefer it to a mini but slightly. The mini will do anything I need it to do without the negitive image the Bushmaster would have. Plus I have thought of getting a mini for 20 years. Sometimes the only way to get rid of desire is to give into it. Will order it when I can decide wheather I want stainless or blue. Have a couple of clips ordered allready. The AR's & AK's bring in too much evil conotations.

I think a jury would be more concerned with other circumstances other than "He was using Rambo's MG"......If it comes to home defense my weapon of choice if possible will not be a rifle, including my "uncle's deer gun".......I brought up the two idiots because I can see that you follow the trend set by antigunners regarding evil guns and the need to restrict those firearms....and that you believe their rhetoric, sadly....perhaps you should return those clips, oops, I meant magazines, and get something more politically correct.....

Weapons cannot be evil or good, i was just trying to say how a AR-15 looks pretty intimidating so thats why the stupid democRATS tried to ban them when the mini 14 looks more like a hunting rifle so they didn't try to restrict it.

I live in calif. and all the blah blah bla anti gun this or that is just depressing. The real evil (voice and long arm of special interest) that control this country and state is way beyond the avg joe. This is what i see that is going to happen.
The day they come for all my registered rifles, pistols and shotguns I will promptly inform all concerned that I am no longer a resident of calif. and that my new resident address will be Texas or arizona or nevada.

Bottom line.... that is what's gonna happen over time mind you to all gun owners in this state who care to stand up for what they believe. perhaps one day a republican state goverment can undo the damage.

I've been on a jury for a case that involved a couple of federal firearms charges several years ago. In his introduction the prosecutor hyped it a bit about the BG's use of an AK47. I got interested since, at the time, I'd never seen an AK and was curious. Turned out it was an HK rifle and, as I recall, not even germain to the bales of pot that were the primary focus of the case. I and another juror where a bit incensed by the obvious lie. The other jurors didn't seem to grasp the difference. (The only true firearms charge was possession of a silencer that, apparently, didn't fit any firearm the guy had. He find it and kept it so he could shoot in the backyard without "bothering the neighbors" - perps quote)
I now know that the lawyers can say pretty much what they want before the evidence since it, supposedly, doesn't count. So your gun can be painted as evil even if someone has to lie about it.

I had to jump in on this one. One of the BIG reasons that the mini 14 is on the never to be ban list is due to Bill Ruger's work in DC. He testified to congress that he did not think that an average person needed more than 10 rounds in any fire arm. And that his company would and did stop making and selling hi-cap mags and folding stocks. This was back in slick Willy's term and not long after that the law was pasted in 94. He was in bed with the devil. So the next time you read any GOOD thing about Bill Ruger, take it with a grain of salt. He hurt the gun owners in this country. It was a good business move, but there are some things more important than the all mighty dollar. That is why I have never bought a new Ruger. I did not want my gun loving money going to a hypocrite. That's my 2 cents on that.

So true bill ruger did screw us all over I have no Idea why a firearm manufacture would team up with a anti freedom lier like clinton, well bills gone so I don't think we can still all be mad at him I do think he realized it was a mistake.
