Ok, well i finally got the balls to place the orders for everthing. I decided to go with the 6-24x50 Simmons from Natchez for 65 bucks. Cant really beat that price with a lifetime waranty. I'm getting a Fajen Silhouette in mignight finish. Also the VQ hammer, Weaponkraft bolt buffer, GM 20'' SS barrel, just finished my own auto bolt release, and i'm probably going to put an overtravel screw in. So i got some work ahead of me but it'll be fun  I'll probably have some questions along the way too. Good Hunting :sniper:

Hey Carnifex, thats a very sharp banner you came up with. I wish my eyes were as sharp as the eagle's. I bought a pair of glasses last week end. I can see now! I still can't spell though. :(

Alrighty, thought I'd update you all on my progress. I got my Simmons 6-24x50 scope today. Optics are nice but its HUGHE! I am not able to mount it yet since i need to get a set of EXTRA high rings. I also just installed the VQ hammer and i also did the clickster spring trick. WOW! Trigger from 10 pounds down to about 1.5 pounds! I'm gonna have to get some JB weld and try to get rid of the pretravel next. But for all you 10/22 owners, if you dont have the VQ hammer, GET IT. I didnt install the new hammer spring however becuase I have heard reports of light primer hits with it. Anyways good huntin and happy shootin fellas :sniper: - Carnifex

Hello Carnifex,

Check out BKL Technologies, hope this hyper link works it shows a 10/22 with a 50mm objective mounted on it. They make several different mount systems Ive used them for my Marlin 883ssv.

Ok, just thought i'd update my old post. Things didnt go well with my ordering. First the guy i was getting the stock from stopped contacting me and the place that shall remain nameless where i ordered the barrel from never sent it. So, I now have on the way a Bell & Carlson Odyssey stock, GM 20'' ss barrel, VQ trigger, and VQ extractor. When I get it all put together i'll post some pictures and maybe i'll finally be ready for some matches ;)

Ok, now for an off topic but cool thing. Went to my friends rifle practice and thought maybe I'd learn somthing. Well holy crap these guys are good lol. I felt a little left out while they are using the Anshutz's and Walthers. Talked to a kid who won some 3-P match at Quantico. Best part of it all was I got to shoot these...
