a new tasco 3x9x40, silver finish. now all i need to do is get me a gun....dang those 10 day waiting periods

and the real bad part is that we are leaving for Texas to visit ralatives the day it is cleared (December 20) so i wont get teh rifle till the 28th

yeah i think its 15 days for a handgun. but of course the wait is so long for such an eeeeevil-soon-to-be-declared-assault rifle.
glad im picking one up right now. just wish i could throw in an SKS and M1A too. they probably wont be around much, eiether

i dont think the waiting period is to do the background check, its to simply provide a "cool-down period", in case you were to get into an argument and be so mad that you would want to kill them, you couldnt just walk into the gun store and buy a gun. ogical, right? would if a women recieved noticed a homocidal stalker, or if she had been recieving intrusive phone calls from him, and she neede some way to protect herself? in 10 days, she could just be another statistic....
