I like most have read that you should full length resize brass when reloading for an auto loader. I have always only neck sized even for my Garand. Well guess what? I was out in Montana shooting with a friend of mine and the damn thing jammed up. The brass had been fired in a different rifle and didn't fit in this chamber. So here we were 40 miles from a town and no shells.

Now this not being bad enough I also reloaded some .223 rounds for the guy out there. These were for his mini 14 and also were only neck sized. Needless to say his rifle did the same thing.

Lesson learned!

I also learned the hard way with a M-1A. Now I use a small base die for all my semi-autos. I havent noticeed any decrease in case life. Only get about 8-10 loads per case anyway. Keep on blasting.:usa:
