So who would be interested in one of these and what would you be willing to pay? Final product will look more "finished" and anodized black. Holds Zero but need some more testing. Looks like a limited run of 10 will be made the first go around.

Looks bulky, can i ask what it might add in weight?
With everything that you see in the picture above (including an all metal slidefire stock and 3x magnifier) it weighed in at 9.4lbs with no mag. Seems like alot but it is WAY better than the 11lbs when it was in a sparta. The rail will be streamlined, this was just to see if it worked....which it does!

I will weigh just the rail tonight to see what it comes too

Will it mount on a 185 series?
I only have a 580 model. I will have to see if I can find someone local to check that with. It mounts to scope rings and barrel up front. I would say ejection shouldn't be a problem but again I got to try to find someone local with that model.
IMHO, would think you could get more interest if it was built more like an amega scout rail that was leveled out with a GG&G rail, but all one piece.
The handguard section could almost be like the Aimtech, meaning sit up high and hollow underneath with lightening holes down the sides. That way your not adding so much weight.

I like your idea though, i really do, but i think the market would more geared toward to what i was describing at first.
I want to bring the whole rail down to follow the contour line of the gun. I would also like to make the mount of the rail up front connect at the top of the gas block, like replaced it. To me, I want this to kind of be something you could take on or off and it not effect your gun. This is just the first rail I have been able to attach and it work.
Can you remove the bolt and/or handguard with the rail still attached?
Have not tried that yet, we will have to see. Will give info on that tonight.

As to the question of weight, it came in at 12 oz for just the rail ( but that is the big test version with very little relief cut.

my gun before optics and rail weighed 7 3/4ths lbs and after rail, eotech, and mbus back ups it came in a hair shy of 9 1/2 lbs.
Are you also willing to make a shorter version?
Where I'm now lacking is on the backend. All I need is about an inch or so forward of the front ring mount. That would give me room for my Aimpoint and G33. Anything more than that would be a waste of good rail in my situation.

I could see about doing that. Not sure how stable it would be as right now it has more mounting points than it would at that point.
